Sekka's nightly ISO.

Each night at 4 AM Chicago time, if main has changed, Sekka's automated checks run, virtual-machine tests included. When they pass, a new ISO joins the builds below, and the last seven are kept. Each starts a live Plasma session with Genkan, the installer.

Experimental A nightly is not a release. Its automated checks run in virtual machines, and it may not have been tried on hardware yet. Installing erases a whole disk: use a virtual machine, or a spare computer with nothing you need on it.

Builds

Newest first, for x86_64 PCs with UEFI or legacy BIOS boot. Each has its checksum, its manifest (source revision, size and upload time) and the flake.lock it was built from. The files come from Cloudflare R2, at downloads.sekka.computer.

Check the download

With the build's SHA256SUMS next to its ISO, on Linux:

sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS

On macOS, shasum -a 256 -c SHA256SUMS. In Windows PowerShell, compare the output of Get-FileHash on the ISO with the checksum in the file.

Before you install

Write the ISO to a USB drive, or start it in a virtual machine, and try the live session first: Wi-Fi, graphics, sleep and displays. There is no disk encryption, dual boot or offline installation yet; read what works, and what doesn't.

Releases

There is no versioned release yet. Releases will be prereleases on GitHub's Releases page, with checksums and instructions. GitHub's “Source code” archives are not bootable images.
